Your guide to rocking parenthood!
Hi! I’m Kristina, the owner and creator of Toddler Approved. I am so happy you're here! I am the mom of four energetic and creative kids (11, 8, 6, and 3 years) and we live in the San Francisco Bay Area!
I started out as an elementary school teacher (grades 1-3) and special educator. Once my youngest was born, I worked part-time as an autism inclusion & curriculum specialist. After my second kiddo was born, I “retired!” I have loved being home with my kids since then... despite the craziness that that sometimes entails!
I started Toddler Approved in 2010 when my oldest was 18 months old and it was a rainy winter! We were going stir crazy, so I put on my creative hat and started pulling together different simple activities for us to do every day. I focused on easy, fun, inexpensive, and somewhat educational activities and crafts that weren’t hard to set up! I made so many creative friends and found such an amazing community online, so I've been creating and sharing ever since!
My goal has always been to give parents simple parenting tips and playful activity ideas to help them rock parenthood!
One of the hardest parts about parenting is having a sec to “prep” anything, let alone make a plan. I love giving parents tools so that they can use less brain power planning and prepping and scouring Instagram and Pinterest and focus more on their kids (and all the other ‘to dos” that come with having kids)! I even created a FREE monthly play plan so parents always have a few ideas in their back pocket to pull out when things get a little crazy (or the day feels extra long).
I also know there is a lot of information about parenting out on the internet. My goal is to share the best parenting tips and resources that are tried and true, and that have worked well with my kids and many others. This saves parents a lot of time and stress!
