I love celebrating birthdays. My twin sister and I were born at around 26 weeks and we spent the first 2.5 months of our life in incubators in the NICU. We grew up hearing stories of the miracles that made our lives possible, so I have always been extra grateful when my birthday rolls around each year.

At our house, being kind is cool and I love to chat with my kids about how “we rise by lifting others...” not making fun of them or putting them down.
